The Adult Onesie

Happy Monday everyone!

I don’t know about you but coming into work after a summer weekend is rough. I love to take my time in the morning to get ready and have, in the past, planned out my outfits a day in advance. Even mentally reviewing what clothing options I can throw together before going to sleep gives me an extra 10-15 minutes the next morning that I won’t waste on figuring out what to wear.

80% of  the time I am successful but today I just couldn’t get it together. I woke up 10 minutes later than usual thanks to the snooze button and rather than having an air of urgency I stumbled around like it was a casual Sunday morning. I think my boss being away this week may have had something to do with my laissez faire attitude.

By the time I showered and finished my makeup I realized I really needed to get going, boss in or not. This is when my adult “onesie” saved me from those dreaded indecisive minutes in my closet.

It’s a sleeveless knee-length jersey dress with a ruched waist in a tan/camel/black abstract pattern by Calvin Klein. I purchased this dress back in 2009 and it SO comfortable and requires no effort aside from the occasional accessory.

Fits like a glove!

Calvin is one of my FAVES

I quickly paired with a braided leather belt and my Montego Bay Club honey colored and jeweled thong sandals.

They have been well worn for three years and it shows.

Well worn for three years (and it shows) but still going strong!

Here is a close up of the patterned jersey fabric. It’s got that camo feel but isn’t quite there.

Is "camo chic" a thing?

I wish I could go back to 2009 and buy three more of this dress in various colors. It is probably all I would wear*! Thanks to my Calvin Klein “onesie” I arrived at work 10 minutes late , which is practically on time.

Wishing you lovelies a great start to your week 🙂

*I have two jersey 3/4 length sleeve color block dresses that will be rolled out with my fall wardrobe and I can’t wait to slip them on. They may be included in my weekly rotation of work attire. #sorrynotsorry #canIpairwithslippers?
