Working on the weekend is an occasional occurrence in my field and always for a different reason! Saturday I stopped by a local community fair to support an alumna who is raising money through her jewelry business, Designs by MoDa, to create a scholarship in memory of her late daughter (also an alumna of the University).
I also had plans right after with my college girlfriends to celebrate Joy’s birthday!
When I have a professional and personal commitment in the same day, with no going home in between, I try to find an outfit that is appropriate for my work commitments while still casual enough that I can slide right into “after 5”.
Thankfully, the weather was 70’s and sunny so I comfortably wore a long sleeve blouse and jeans without fear of becoming a sweaty mess:
The bangles were a $5 find from Christmas Tree Shop (you never know what you will find there!) and the necklace was a secret santa grab at work. I found the Capri’s at Saver’s (surprised?) for under $10 and the blouse was a $20 purchase from Marshall’s.
I have had these ankle boots for a few years and they are just the right heel height! I got them for $30 at Off Broadway Shoes.
Here is the entire look:
