Prep to Pep

You know that last bullet point on your job description? The one that says” perform all other duties as assigned”? Today IS that bullet point.

It’s the start to one of the University’s biggest events, Homecoming weekend, and my role as a staff member, Board member, and alum blend into one big pile of chaos peppiness and cheer!

This morning a fellow Board member and I will be heading off campus to decorate a venue for Saturday’s festivities. The space is pretty bare so it requires some creativity and time (one of which I have and one of which is limited). Take a wild guess…

We will be hanging lights, dressing tables, moving furniture, etc. so I am wearing a t-shirt, blue jeans, and comfortable flats. The t-shirt & jeans were Saver’s finds and the shoes are from Payless!

Outfit No. 1

Grey t-shirt by Dansky; Skinny jeans by Forever 21; Chestnut flats by SO Shoes.

I dressed down so I can get my hands dirty and not ruin my next outfit which is a bit formal because I also have a Board meeting a few hours later.

To complement this continuous summer weather I chose to wear my antique white lace pencil skirt paired with a black blouse tank. Nude pointed toe kitten sling backs and a rose gold belt complete this preppy look.

Outfit No. 2:

Black tank by Coveny; Lace skirt by Lord & Taylor; Rose gold belt by Calvin Klein; Nude pointed toe kitten heels by Nine West.

Then comes another quick change into my Ram pride t-shirt and jeans for the Pep rally that directly follows the meeting. I paired with my glittered gold flats because it’s a party and I’ll cry shine if I want to!

Outfit No. 3:

T-shirt front (top); T-shirt back ( bottom); Land's End capri pants; Gold sparkle flats by Lower East Side.

I am thankful I can end my day rallying for FSU in this casual “uniform”. Let’s go Rams!
