Runway to the Everyday

Celebrity styles inspire everyday looks.  For the everyday girl like me on a non-profit professional’s budget, I stick to a few stores that align with my personal style aesthetic so I can incorporate glamorous celebrity looks into my ready to wear lifestyle.

I am over the moon about the #bodypositivity changes Barbie is rolling out.  Last year, the Imagine the Possibilities campaign encouraging all the career possibilities that Barbie can represent.  This message is incredibly important to hear as early on as possible.  I love that Barbie is kicking things into gear and creating more realistic and more representative dolls that everyday girls can relate too.

Here are some fabulous outfits from the “Reshape the Conversation” dinner.

I found a more casual style of Queen Latifah’s jacket at Lord & Taylor, perfect for a weekend look.  The pale pink dress has a similar neckline to Gwen Stefani’s cocktail dress which would be lovely for a spring/summer wedding shower, christening, or graduation.  Amanda de Cadenet’s black cocktail dress has Girl’s Night written all over it.  I love cocktail dresses with long sleeves and found one at  White House Black Market.
