Fashion Show Style

You guys. It’s FINALLY HERE.

Joy and I will be representing Ginger Couture at our Alma Mater’s fashion show, “Aftershock”, in just a few days! Last year I was blown away by the talent of our students and, TBH, may have cornered one designer and begged him to make me a black & white color block jacket…

For this occasion I have two very different looks to choose from.

Look #1: The Jumpsuit

Strapless jumpsuit w/ wide culotte legs  by Free People | Coral snakeskin heels by Comfort Plus | Blush blazer by H&M

Look #2: The Floral Skirt

Floral skirt by Pixley Eve | Lace tank by Monteau | Black patent heels by Comfort Plus

With any special event, there may be a last minute change up depending on how many stores I decide to stop into  for “a quick peek” 🙂

Which look do you think is runway ready? Leave a comment and let me know!

Wardrobe Wed: Floral Done Differently

How does one pull off a college t-shirt with everyday work attire?

The University is hosting a campus wide giving challenge and these bad boys were given out in exchange for a donation (of any size):

I chose to dress up this colorful tee with a simple skirt and fun flats.

The skirts dark grey color grounds an otherwise flashy outfit. I am in LOVE with the flats (a new spring purchase from Payless). They are the epitome of comfort and have just the right punch of color for work!

Joy is rocking a different kind of floral with this print chiffon blouse.  She loves this particular print because the cream and brown design is set against a black background so she can still wear her favorite black slacks.  Comfortable business casual was the goal today with back to back to back …to back practice interviews with students all day long!

I predict many more floral pieces in our future!
