Runway to the Everyday: CFDA Awards

Celebrity styles inspire my everyday looks.  For the everyday girl like me on a non-profit professional’s budget, I love looks that align with my personal style aesthetic so I can incorporate glamorous celebrity looks into my ready to wear lifestyle.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America annually recognize the contributions of individuals from all facets of the fashion industry.  While a little less mainstream than the other award shows, these are the folks that make the red carpets look so good.

I was especially drawn to these looks:

A more casual approach to Karlie Kloss’ look is a lightweight maxi, perfect for any relaxed weekend get together with friends.  The office, a work function, this green takes summer prints to a fun yet still professional new level.  Samira Wiley is proof that we don’t see enough bold green on the red carpet.  One of my favorite gingers rocking elegant black and silver.  While I don’t have an event for an evening gown, this cocktail dress with a pump for work or a strappy sandal for a wedding shower reminds me of Jessica’s CFDA look.
